Salary: £51,600 – £58,800 per year
Anderson Knight is working with a large PLC to recruit a Qualified Accountant based in Glasgow. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role of the Qualified Accountant will involve responsibility and involvement across all accounting activities for a particular business unit.
Working within a small, experienced team the role provides an excellent development opportunity in which the successful applicant will gain experience of the UK and Ireland markets and will play an important role in supporting both trading activities and the exciting growth plans of the business.
The main responsibilities the Qualified Accountant position entails are:
* Management accounting responsibilities across a combination of portfolios (including reconciliation, reporting, variance analysis and forecasting)
* Fixed asset responsibilities for forecasting and reporting on IT assets
* Building relationships with key business team contacts to provide value added business partnering service
* Involvement in supporting key Finance Transformation projects – intended to drive digital and financial control improvements
* Opportunity to grow in the role and develop processes to adapt to strategic growth of the business unit and its activities
To be considered for the role you must possess the following:
* An accountancy qualification to the standard of ICAS/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience
* A proven track-record of being able to quickly learn and understand complex data, information and processes
* A determined personality looking for an opportunity to develop and progress their career
* A track-record of being able to work independently and proactively, taking personal ownership of deliverables
* Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex material succinctly
