Part Qualified Accountant

Howett Thorpe is proud to be working exclusively with a well known and well respected growing business based in Leatherhead. The business is currently recruiting for an experienced Part Qualified Accountant to join their busy and dynamic finance department at a pivotal time due to growth and expansion for the organisation.

About You

The successful candidate should be actively studying towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA or qualified AAT with experience in Management and Financial Accounts. This role requires someone with strong analytical and technical competencies and an outgoing, confident approach to working with Senior Managers and Directors of the business.

About The Role

You will need to have experience of credit control and debtor management along with assisting with the monthly management accounts. Duties as follow:

* Identifying problems in transactions or supporting documentation to include balancing relevant accounts in the main ledger; ensure accurate and timely payments are made to external customers; maintaining accounting records to ensure financial accuracy and control; calculating accruals and prepayments; maintaining fixed asset register
* Assisting with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts
* Assisting the Finance Manager with the production of the Monthly management account packs
* VAT returns – pulling together information and schedules for annual audit and reviewing daily cash flow
