Salary: Upto £42,000 + paid OT + bonus up to 8% + pension
Standard hours 7am – 3pm (flexibility and some OT required)

The Role: Mechanical Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor

Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, leading a team of 10, responsibilities include:-

Organise maintenance team to ensure that all work associated with preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance and maintenance of site services is carried out within defined requirements.

Manage maintenance team including planning work priorities, defining responsibilities, monitoring health and safety, training, quality assurance and technical support.

Monitor the Engineering Request (ER) system and address breakdowns or other defined requirements.

Ensure that the requirements of the Preventative Maintenance system are completed

Carry out inspections, adjustments and monitoring as defined by engineering work sheets or SWPs to ensure that the works site complies with all current legislation.

Arrange overtime and call-out for the maintenance team within departmental requirements

Liaise with suppliers of engineering materials and components to resolve defined engineering problems and purchase proprietary items when necessary.

Devise, implement and coordinate proactive initiatives to improve the performance of the engineering & maintenance department.

The Candidate: Mechanical Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor

Must have a time served mechanical apprenticeship.
Experience of supervising maintenance technicians / craftsmen is essential, including strong motivational skills.
Must have a good knowledge of maintenance systems and planning, gained with a relevant manufacturing sector.
