Salary: £30,000 per year
THE COMPANY
Our client is a successful, global brand with a European Head Office based in Leeds. They manufacture in facilities across the world and distribute their high-quality products across six continents.
THE OPPORTUNITY
They’re looking to recruit a highly skilled Assistant Accountant/Bookkeeper to assist the UK Financial Controller with the following responsibilities:
• Assisting in the production of 4 sets of monthly management accounts.
• The Financial Controller is currently working on a project to reduce month-end process, so there will be scope to get involved in this and suggest process improvements.
• Maintaining Purchase & Sales Ledger, inputting and uploading purchase/sales orders, invoices, payments and receipts
• Bank reconciliations
• Compiling VAT Returns and EC Sales Lists
• Processing inter-company recharges
• Reconciling inter-company balances
• Liaising with international teams in the US and Hong Kong
• Maintaining various reports in MS Excel
THE PERSON
• Ideally you will be AAT Qualified with experience in a similar role
• Experience within an international business with exposure to the shipping or logistics industry would be a benefit
• You’ll have excellent MS Excel experience (VLookups, Pivot Tables etc)
• Experience with Sage 200 or Sage 300 would be a significant advantage
• You’ll also have a “can do” attitude with excellent literacy and numeracy skills
THE PACKAGE
• An excellent basic salary of up to £30,000dependant on experience
• 5% Pension
• Bonus – To be confirmed at the start of employment and will be based on agreed performance criteria
• Mobile Phone, Laptop and other equipment will be provided at company expense
• Normal working hours are 08:30 – 16:30 or 09:00 – 17:00 or similar depending on your preference
• 21 Days holiday + Bank Holidays
