Job Description:
Hamilton Mayer is working with a Biotechnology company, striving to develop therapies that help millions of people around the world in the fight against cancer, kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and other serious illnesses. The Training and Development Director will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of deployed shared services to all Global Learning & Performance Functions. Reporting directly to the head of talent management & development, the director ensures the right quantity and quality of instructional design resources required to execute the business plans of the functions each year.

Key Responsibilities:
* Increase expertise of Global Learning Solutions team on adult learning principles and instructional design.
* Collaborate cross functionally to understand business drivers and identify resources required to develop learning content.
* Partner with other GL&P leaders to identify opportunities for collaboration, process improvement, and resource sharing.
* Build alliances and partnerships with senior leaders, business, and HR partners to improve relationships and ensure support for GLS value proposition and growth.
* Develop and implement strategy for multimedia development from GLS, including video, photo and audio production for key learning and communication initiatives.
* Encourage and promote innovative learning practices within the learning community, including research and application of latest trends and best practices in learning.

Requirements & Experience:
* Ph.D. & 4 years of Training and Development experience or Master’s degree & 8 years of Training and Development experience or Bachelor’s degree & 10 years of Training and Development experience.
* 4 years of managerial experience, leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources.
* Prior experience in leadership roles with global responsibilities or exposure is important.
* Demonstrated track record leading high-performing teams within the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry.
* Experience developing or overseeing the development of eLearning, ILT, OJT, performance support, and other learning solutions.
* Demonstrated experience working with leaders, including identifying needs, developing action plans, identifying deliverables, and presenting results/recommendations.
