Accountant

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

This well-known local organisation are looking for an Accountant to join their team. This is an existing role in the business and the ideal candidate will be available to start before April.

Accountant – About The Role

In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Director and will be supporting with the daily running of the accounts function. Furthermore you will be required to liaise with multiple departments and report regularly into the senior management team. Your key responsibilities will include:

* Assisting in the preparation of the management accounts up to trial balance.

* Generation of the management information reports for the Finance Director.

* Overall management of the purchase ledger and reconciliation of suppliers accounts.

* Monthly reconciliation of credit card statements and posting entries into Sage.

* Control of cash books and formal monthly bank and petty cash reconciliations.

* Raising and posting of letting invoices once contracts are agreed by the Finance Director.

* Responsibility for the credit control function.

* Assisting with the monthly payroll process and running relevant reports.

* Maintaining good relationships with suppliers and setting up new accounts.

The successful Accountant will have

* Previous experience in a similar position.

* Part qualified or QBE candidates will be considered.

* Experience with Sage is desirable
