Product Safety Engineer, Poole, Up to £40,000
An opportunity has arisen for a Product Safety Engineer to join a Poole based Design and Manufacturing company.
As the Product Safety Engineer you will work alongside the Design Engineers to ensure that the products and systems designed and manufactured by the company meet the appropriate functional safety standards. You will produce the safety cases and associated data for the construction of files for the products and systems. You will also maintain the standards on product and qualification testing and provide guidance to the Engineering Manager on potential improvements and any matters relating to safety and qualification. You’ll also obtain estimated prime cost information to enable new safety and qualification projects to be priced and quoted.
To be considered as the Product Safety Engineer you’ll have a HND or equivalent, with previous experience in product safety in engineering. This will mean you understand applicable UK legislation, CE marking requirements and knowledge of functional safety (ideally EN 61508).
