Stores / Warehouse Person

Salary: £26,000 per year

Due to ongoing growth, my client has an opportunity for an additional Stores/Warehouse Person. This is a full time, permanent position based in Yeadon Leeds. Depending on experience, there is also an opportunity to enrol on a fully funded apprenticeship scheme after which a formal qualification in warehousing will be obtained.

Normal hours are 7:30 – 16:00 Mon – Fri.

Working as part of a manufacturing team. We are looking for a hardworking Stores/Warehouse operative. You will be part of a two-man team responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock using a Bill of materials or Pick List.

This role could suit a recent school leaver or an experienced stores person.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Assisting with deliveries including unloading of trucks.

* Receiving shipments/deliveries ensuring goods are checked against relevant paperwork and booked onto the ERP system.

* Ensuring stock is put away in correct location according to ERP system.

* Picking warehouse items from stores based on requirements driven by pick list or bill of materials.

* Stock taking and replenishment, reporting any stock errors.

* Maintaining high level of H&S including good housekeeping at all times.

* Performing any other general warehouse duties where required.

Qualifications:

* GCSE at grade 4 in Maths and English or equivalent.

* Forklift truck license would be advantageous. (Flexi and Counter Balance)

Skills & Competencies:

* Experience in a warehouse role would be ideal but not essential.

* Reliable, hardworking and good attention to detail.

* Able to follow instructions.

* Good Numeracy/IT skills preferred although training on the system will be given.

* Ability to work unsupervised for long periods.

* Good team player with good communication skills.
