Biomass Fuel Assistants

Our client is looking for motivated individuals to work as a a Fuel Assistant to Biomass Renewable Energy sites across Lincolnshire.

You will be responsible for assisting members of their Fuel Team to complile an accurate inventory of straw bales destined to be used for power generation at the nearby renewable energy plant. It is extremely important that your administration skills are strong here along with accuracy and attention to detail to protect the interests of the Plant.

Key responsibilities:

– Work with straw suppliers to process straw stocks accurately per supply contracts
– Weigh and check quality of biomass moving into storage in accordance with quality criteria
– Records reporting to key managers
– Ensure all company policies and health and safety practices are adhered to
– Time management

Hours of work:
Typically during harvest, you will be working from 8am until 7pm most days, with an unpaid 1 hour lunch break. Occastional weekend working will be required too so you will need to be flexible.

Candidate profile:

– Knowledge of agriculture industry, particularly of large arable operations
– Self motivated with good interpersonal skills
– Full clean driving licence
– Trustworthy
– Good both spoken and written levels of English
– Computer literate
– Can work with a degree of autonomy

You must have access to transport as you will be required to work across all of their sites across Lincolnshire although you may stay posted at one site in particular.

The first 2 weeks of this assignment will be training weeks – you will receive a lower wage for this training but once the 2 weeks have ended, you will receive a higher hourly wage
