Job Title: Management Accountant

Role Type: Full-Time Permanent

Location: Thames Ditton – Hybrid Working

Salary: 45k-55k

As the Management Accountant your key responsibilities will be:

• Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
• Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth
• Produce month end and year end journals
• Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Preparation of annual budgets and participation in the planning process
• Management of capital expenditure
• Production and review of variance analysis and commentaries
• Production of relevant commercial analysis e.g. margins and pricing
• Preparation of all statutory returns to HMRC including VAT and Duty
• Ensure the completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing, mentoring and motivating the accounts team (currently one direct report).
• Ensuring robust financial systems and processes are in place improving systems where necessary.
• Developing and reporting against forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow)

Highly Desirable:

• Fully or Part Qualified (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) and highly experienced in a similar role
• Excellent communicator, with both internal and external colleagues at all levels
• Hard-working, efficient and motivated by results
• Thorough understanding of management information systems
• Desire to work in a non corporate environment – experience in the Logistics/Engineering or Hospitality sectors would be well suited
• Ability to analyse and make recommendations, alongside the capacity to drive through key business changes
• Strong business acumen and understanding of financial issues
• Knowledge of Xero Accounting Software and advanced user of MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups etc).
