Salary: £26,000 per year
A thriving manufacturing company in Clacton-on-Sea are looking to recruit a Tool Designer into their team. The main purpose of the role will be the design and manufacture of production machine tooling and gauges from initial concept to product realisation.
Duties:
Design production tooling
Product design
Liaise with toolroom regarding tooling designs
Issue tool drawings to toolroom
Maintain up to date records of tool designs
Manage project hours record for new products
Explore new methods of manufacture
Create 3D resin prototypes
Coordinate with external tool suppliers
Communicate with external sub-contractors
39-hour week, Monday Thursday, Friday
Experience required:
Engineering degree would be desirable
Experience using Solidworks 3D CAD software
Design of blanking tools
Experience designing high pressure die-casting tools
