Fabric Designer

Silver Cross is an exciting and leading premium British nursery brand, looking for a talented and highly motivated Fabric Designer. Silver Cross is a household name, loved and trusted by parents around the globe. We create award winning travel systems, car seats and nursery products which meet the demands and aspirations of modern families. Today we sell products in over 70 countries worldwide.

Role

• To be an integral part of the internal design and development team at Silver Cross specialising primarily in the fabric design and creative concept
• To research and translate fashion trends
• To deliver new and innovative ideas for new and existing product ranges

Key responsibilities

• Produce well conceived and communicated design concepts
• To be involved in the whole development process from concept sketch generation to production in the Far East
• Produce Representative To Production (RTP) specification documents for issuing to the manufacturers
• Liaise with UK, European and Far Eastern manufacturers and fabric suppliers
• Hands on fabric design and development with experience of developing fabrics with suppliers
• Work to clearly defined deadlines
• Assist in other areas of design and marketing as and when required

Other duties

• Presentation of designs and concepts to internal and external audiences
• Develop Design Software skills to keep up to date
• Participation in trade shows and sales conferences

Hours – Hybrid working available

Experience – some previous hands-on experience
