Salary: £48,000 – £54,000 per year
As the client continues to grow and strengthen their market position, they are currently seeking to appoint a Financial Controller with a level of team management and accounting experience that will provide a ‘financial backbone’ for the Group and prepare the Finance department for further dynamic growth.
Duties and responsibilities:
•Build and develop a Finance team of around 10
•Prepare and finalise of financial and management accounts
•Calculating and posting journals on related sales.
•Preparation of monthly balance sheets for all Group companies.
•Overseeing the monthly payroll for internal and external staff
•Generation of VAT returns and submission of National Statistics Office returns.
•Developing processes and systems
Person specification:
•Recognised Accountancy qualification.
•Experience of running a busy department, in a commercial/industrial environment
•Knowledge of both financial and management accounting processes.
•Leadership qualities, with a ‘hands on’ approach to support to the Finance team.
•Good communicator, both written and verbal
•Developed IT skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
