IT Infrastructure Operations Technician 2nd Line

We are recruiting for an IT Infrastructure Operations Technician- 2nd Line for the IT Department based in London.

The desired candidate will be supporting the IT Infrastructure Operations Team Lead, the Infrastructure Operations Team Technician ensures high quality product delivery to the IT department whilst meeting all agreed and published SLA’s. All team members are to provide encouragement and support to other IT Department team members accordingly,
Also they will be maintaining appropriate governance across all IT services in terms of compliance with company and IT related projects, helping to subsequently drive continuous improvement, best practice and create a high performing team.

Key Duties:

•Establish and promote best practice in health, safety and environmental matters in conjunction with the SHQE department.
•To provide a high quality service which meet SLAs and internal KPIs.
•Arrange the deployment and configuration of application agents in response to a brief provided by the relevant area of the business.
•Assisting in the monitoring of on-going system usage and that issues are dealt with according to SLA.
•Assist in the assessment of the impact of systems or business processes; improve efficiency.
•Track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution in line with SLA & Service Desk processes.
•Assist with Vendor/MSP/Strategic Partner Management.
•Apply Security Management in line with any ISMS policies.
•Assist in the research new technology, and where appropriate implement it or recommend its implementation in line with the life-cycle model of the applications.
•Seeks to understand business needs and demonstrate creative ways to improve business processes.
•Attend project and programme meetings as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in IT Related Subject or equivalent experience
ITIL V3 Certification
Backup Technologies (to include but not limited Symantec Backup Exec 2010)
System Centre Operations Manager 2012 R2
CSCS Card (Appropriate colour / type)
Full Clean Driving Licence
Previous experience of duties defined in “Key Responsibilities & Duties” Section
