Assistant Contracts Manager

Salary: £32,400 per year

We are recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor or Assistant Contracts Manager on behalf of a company that offer a grounds maintenance, landscape improvement and winter maintenance service across Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey and London.

As the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor / Assistant Contracts Manager you will be responsible for teams based in both Oxfordshire and Surrey working alongside the Contracts Manager and wider team to co-ordinate the day to day running of a variety of contracts, this will include planning of works, managing performance and delivery across the area by the teams as well as people management, health & safety conformance and where needed assisting the Contracts Manager to deliver the requirements of the Contract. 

As this is a hands on role you will need to have grounds maintenance experience and ideally have worked your way up from Operative through to Team Leader and Working Supervisor.

As the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor / Assistant Contracts Manager your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating teams based on contract specification and workload.
• Monitoring both the progress of work and the teams performance.
• Taking action when needed, reporting any issues to the Contracts Manager.
• Creating a positive impression and maintaining a good working relationship with the team, clients and all third parties.
• Liaising and working with the teams to meet expectations related to completed, outstanding and any additional works.
• Maintaining records of all tasks.
• Completing quotes for additional works as requested by the Contracts Manager.
• Participating in joint quality inspections and attending weekly contract monitoring meetings as requested by the Client.
• Working alongside the teams as needed.

To be considered for this job opportunity you will need:

• At least two years’ experience as a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor or Assistant Contracts Manager.
• A full & clean driving licence.
• A good knowledge of all grounds maintenance activities.
• The ability to manage, lead and motivate a team.
• A good working knowledge of H&S procedures.

• Salary of between £32,400and £32,000 depending on related experience.
