Salary: £26,000 per year

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a SEND Teaching Assistant in Cheshire

TeacherActive are looking for TA / Teaching Assistant in Helsby to work in a large SEND School in the area of Halton. The school is for students of varying needs and abilities through KS1 -KS5. They are looking for an experienced and versatile teaching assistant to support students 1:1 and in the classroom. We are looking for staff who have experience working with students of any age or need so we can allocate them to the class most suitable to their skills set.

The placement is a long term vacancy with the potential to go permanent for the right candidates who are able to gel with students and staff alike. We are looking for someone to start ASAP and continue in the new year in September.

The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:

• Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months’ experience in an educational establishment
• A calm, patient and caring persona
• Good communication skills
• A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
• Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis

All of our supply staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you’re paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance and there’s no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard earned cash.
