Based Southampton

A Production / Manufacturing professional is required for a busy and expanding high tech company based in the Southampton area. The company design and manufacture specialist photonics products for R&D and OEM clients.

The role will be responsible for all manufacturing related activities. Primary duties will include planning, co-ordinating and monitoring all the steps in the production process to ensure products are delivered on time and within budget. Working alongside other department managers, scope will include planning and allocating monthly production tasks, management of production documentation, through to stock level control and identification of routes to improve cost efficiencies.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to plan and implement production schedules. Your experience will have been gained within a high technology manufacturing environment. You will have proven skills as a Team Leader / Manger who can motivate and manage professional relationships. A strong leader and communicator you will have a natural ability to get on with stakeholders at all levels. The role holder should have attention to detail, enjoy following processes and demonstrate initiative to seek workflow efficiencies.
