Production Manager

Objectives
To maximise production for the lowest possible cost, to the approved quality standard.
To direct and manage the production personnel.
To use effectively, the company`s resources and assets.

Reporting to you:
– Shift Leaders
– Setter Co-ordinator
– Maintenance Manager

Headline description of the role.
By linking the Production, Technical and Maintenance teams you will:
– Continuously seek to reduce labour costs.
– Continuously seek to reduce the unit cost by reviewing working methods and equipment.
– Continuously seek to maximise output.
– Achieve machine efficiency of minimum 80%.
– Control scrap level to a maximum of 3%.

Ensure production plan is followed.
Deviations to be explained and plan amended.

Maintain and improve tidiness and cleanliness of the production and material areas.
Follow without compromise Health and Safety processes, to meet legislative requirements.

Quality standards- batch control and documentation.
Specification Sheets.

Minimise raw material consumption.

Minimise re work.
Ensure part item stock is used efficiently.

Make recommendations relating to plant, tool and equipment, maintenance and performance.
Respect and develop environmental considerations in the use of utilities and waste disposal.

Use the daily and weekly reports.
