Topographical Surveyor

The Client:
A specialist rural and land consultancy based in North Essex is looking for potentially two Topographical Surveyors to join their expanding business. The company itself carries out land surveys, 3D laser scanning, utilities surveys and CAD design services to work with many clients including those in the telecommunication and energy sectors, land investors and new build project providers.

The Role:
Using measuring tools such as Leica TS15 and GS14GPS Smart Antenna, you will be mostly out working in the field and carrying out detailed measurements and occasional 3D imaging. Additional support and training is always provided and this company makes sure that their personnel have access to industry leading equipment and feel confident in how to operate effectively. Due to there being room for potentially two appointments, they are willing to look at trainee surveyors up to experienced senior surveyors, and their remuneration package will reflect this.

Essential Skills:
• Experience in carrying out measured surveys in land or utilities (at least 6+ months)
• Have an eye for detail
• Good communication skills
• A full UK driving license
• For senior role; at least 3 + years topographical surveying experience in a similar company.

Desired Skills:
• Hold own transport
• Have a related qualification such as a HNC, Diploma or Degree
• Knowledge of AutoCAD a benefit but not essential as have in-house team
• GCSE in Maths at grade C or above
• Have a desire to progress in a career as a topographical surveyor up to management level
• Local to North Essex.

In Return:
This company is willing to offer a remuneration package of around £30,000 – £36,000p/a basic + company van, pension and other benefits. The basic salary is negotiable dependent on experience.
