Salary: £33,600 – £37,680 per year

My client has a global reputation for creativity and innovation and its brilliant IT team is at the heart of driving and supporting this ethos. The team is looking for two further Desktop Support Analysts to join the team in Farnham, Surrey.

The role of the Desktop Support Analyst is to provide support for a large and diverse user base via phone, email, in person (for walk-in customers) and self-service. Requires strong experience of troubleshooting, analysing and diagnosing technical problems is essential for this role which is Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure all incident and service requests are identified categorised, prioritised, diagnosed and managed to completion following ITSM processes.
  • transition new service management processes and procedures into operations
  • perform process evaluation to aid continual service improvement.
  • Act as an IT evangelist and Technical Advisor to users across the organisation.
  • Provide systems administration to Windows / Apple business systems and software
  • Support the Desktop Deployment team by implementing pre-defined configurations, installing or upgrading operating systems and applications.
  • Support the Operations Team by administrating the infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, performing routine backup maintenance and enhancing network security by using change management processes and other agreed operating policies and procedures.
  • Project and BAU work

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a strong customer service ethos with experience of working in a customer facing technical support role in a Windows and Mac Desktop environment
  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of Service Desk software, Microsoft Desktop OS, Apple Mac Desktop OS and relevant technologies, desktop & laptop, mobile devices, hardware and software applications such as email and Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Works in a supportive way, collaborates with colleagues within and across departments to solve problems and innovate
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment, creating realistic plans to manage and prioritise own workload to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates experience and working knowledge of networks, remote administration and software distribution tools
  • Demonstrates experience of an ability to troubleshoot, analyse and diagnose technical problems
  • Demonstrates experience of testing methodologies and bringing solutions into production and working on continuous improvement change projects
  • ITIL foundation certificate preferred
