New Business Development Researcher

Position: New Business Development Researcher

Our client is an international company who design and source premium products for promotional purposes on a global basis. They are currently seeking a New Business Development Researcher to join their successful team.

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the New Business Development Researcher will be required to research identified potential new clients and make the initial contact. Research and suggest potential clients with a similar high spend pattern.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Research already identified new customer opportunities and present findings
• Suggest and research new potential clients
• To identify key decision makers within potential new clients’ organisations and make initial contact.
• Research spend patterns, previous promotions and marketing trends
• Support the Sales Director and internal sales teams
• To complete RFI’s
• To compile presentations and fully brief pitch team
• Manage the day to day customer activities and requirements of potential new clients
• Liaise with other global offices and support where necessary
• Produce new business reports
• Investigate and identify trends by region and market sector
• Monitor key customer sales performances versus targets set and present opportunities

Candidate Profile
• Excellent communicator, persuasive and with a sound knowledge of the products offered.
• Good negotiator
• Previous experience of analysis, research techniques and presenting reports
• Experience working with customers in a B2B sales environment
• IT Literate – competent with Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail is critical
• Must be able to produce concise reports
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Must be able to plan, organise and prioritise their individual workload
• Ability to achieve targets
• To understand the long term strategies of the business
• Make internal presentations.
