Operations Manager

Elevation FMCG are exclusively recruiting for an Operations Manager role in South Yorkshire. Our client is a large food manufacturing business who supply some of the UK’s most loved brands to the major retailers.

Our client is looking for an energetic and passionate individual capable of stepping up to General Manager level in the next 2-3 years. Operations Manager duties and responsibilities include:

– Leading a large team of staff managed through a team of four shift managers
– Managing operational budgets and shaping the operational strategy for the site
– Implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques and instilling a culture of continuous improvement
– Coaching and mentoring staff on site and standing in for the GM as and when required

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

– Degree qualified, in a food science, engineering or related discipline
– An inspirational leader with experience of leading large teams of staff in the food industry, ideally within the bakery sector
– Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement and excellent project management skills
– Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong financial acumen
