1492 Search is recruiting for an inclusive Operations Manager to join a top machine assembly business. This is a fantastic supply chain development opportunity offering a favourable salary and benefits package.

The Candidate | What Are We Looking For?

Operations cover all aspects of the value-adding production process, from procurement to despatch. As part of this team, you will maintain and develop flexible and agile supply chains that underpin the assembly process.

Responsibilities of this Operations Manager role include:

* Managing process and productivity improvement to support Strategic Intent.

* Developing a cost-effective and efficient supply chain to bolster lead time performance.

* Spearheading the vital mapping of core competency for key processes/supply chains/people.

* Working with management to develop overall strategies.

To apply for this flexible Operations Manager position, you must have production experience in a high mix/medium volume environment, ideally electromechanical/mechanical/electronic products. You will also need knowledge of the automation and assembly sector and a good understanding of supply chains, and how to manage and develop them. Knowledge of Lean and excellent communication skills are also required.
