Quality Manager

Our client are a leading construction contractor within the global transport & infrastructure sector, who have recently secured a number of high profile contracts in the UK totalling close to £2 billion.

To support their continued grown – FastTrack are working in an exclusive partnership with them to identify talented construction management professionals to undertake pivotal roles in order to successfully deliver upcoming projects.

At present, we are offering an experienced Quality Manager the opportunity to work on a major construction project at Heathrow Airport.

Salary: £26,000 per year+ bonus + Pension

Reporting to the Project Director and functionally to the HSQE Director your duties will include:

• Reviewing customer requirements and making sure they are met;
• Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
• Setting standards for quality
• Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards;
• Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
• Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports;
• Making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them;
• Using relevant quality tools and making sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business;
• Making sure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.
• To communicate and ensure that the Project QA plans are understood and operated by all employees and subcontractors
• To liaise with clients and external bodies on QA matters as required
• To promote company values in all dealing with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts.
• Contribute to the achievement of Health and Safety in accordance with company policy

Key Requirements:

• Chartered Member of CQI or working towards (minimum PCQI)
• Minimum Leal internal Auditor
• Previous experience of the Design & Build major infrastructure projects, ideally at Airports
• QA Systems and processes, including detailed knowledge of ISO 9001/10005
• Knowledge of IT including EDMS systems and operation
• CSCS card
• Team player
