Summary of Clinical Specialist Hand Therapist:
Our client, a large private hospital in Central London is seeking an experienced Senior 1 Occupational Therapist on a full time, permanent basis. The role will be to deliver and promote the Occupational Therapy Service on the neuro-rehabilitation unit and acute medical/surgical wards in conjunction with the Occupational Therapy Manager and Lead Occupational Therapists.
The OT department is based in two areas of the hospital, acute medical/surgical wards and The Acute Neuro-Rehab Unit.
Skills/Requirements:
*Considerable experience of acute neurology including stroke and head injury rehabilitation.
*Honours Degree in Occupational Therapy
*HCPC registration
*Extensive post-registration experience within occupational therapy in a relevant clinical setting, with a significant period of time within a neurological unit or department
*Documented evidence of continuing professional development
*Extensive experience in wheelchair assessment, posture and positioning of neuro patients.
*Experience in providing teaching/training to colleagues.
The successful candidate must possess the willingness to work flexibly. Demonstrating commitment to patient centred OT, evidenced based practice & promotion of the profession and the hospital.
To participate in Saturday cover as required.
