Telford
Fixed Term Contract
Circa £25,000
Monday to Friday – 37.5 hrs per week
We are working with an established client based in Telford who currently have a fantastic opportunity to join their supply chain team as a Production Planner. This will suit a candidate who has a strong experience planning for manufacturing businesses, with good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems along with Excel. This is a fixed term contract for circa 5 months, while the company are experiencing a period of growth, there is the possibility of a contract extension leading to permanent employment.
The Production Planner will be responsible for:
* Planning daily, weekly, and monthly for production
* Communicating effectively with the relevant internal departments and key stakeholders in relation to the arrival of material and workflow
* Monitor jobs to ensure they meet the deadline
* Being the first point of call for customer queries
* Working with the process engineers to implement new tools into production to streamline the work
Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a manufacturing / production environment such as a Production Planner / Supply Chain Planner
* You must have good ERP/ MRP knowledge and experience
* Strong Excel skills are required
* It is essential that you have a good understanding of materials management and stock inventory
