Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Newcastle Upon Tyne

Our client operates in the demolition, decommissioning, site reclamation, property and marine development. They have been involved with many nationally significant projects and this is something about which they are very proud of.
They are currently looking to employ on a permanent basis an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor-Estimator who can join the existing team.
This role would suit someone who has potentially 2-3 years post qualified experience and is seeking a move in to an environment where your development will be supported and you will be provided with a fantastic platform to develop your skill set professionally. You will be given every encouragement and they have a strong belief in promoting from within.

Duties will include but not exclusive to:
Price small works contracts (labour, plant etc) based on schedules of rates
Order materials for site
Approve works for invoicing
Check variations
Manage a small number of public sector maintenance refurbishment contracts
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, the company is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Estimator who ideally has experience of working on Public Sector refurbishment and/or maintenance contracts.
