Our client is a world leader in the manufacture of chemicals sold globally. It is now expanding rapidly due to the growth of the lithium-ion battery sector. As part of that growth, they are working with us to source an experienced Operations Manager to oversee their 3 manufacturing sites in Basingstoke.

This individual will have experience in a complex technical role in a chemical engineering setting

The Job

To manage all operational activities encompassing manufacturing and warehousing within three production sites. Ensuring that all operations are managed in accordance with health, safety and environmental best practice. Optimising operational efficiencies at all sites and ensuring continuous improvement programmes are maintained and developed.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• A minimum of 10 years relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment – ideally working with chemicals.
• Clear effective communication skills across all levels of the business – both written and spoken
• Experience running multiple sites
• Experience running multi-disciplinary teams including engineers, production and admin
• An understanding of business needs, production targets and demand planning
• Strong project management skills
• High degree of computer literacy with good spreadsheet and relevant software competencies
• Great organisational skills as well as focus, energy and a commitment to work as part of a fast paced ever changing dynamic business
