Quantity Surveyor (Consultancy or Main Contractor)

Salary: £66,000 – £78,000 per year

An ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to step up to Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong Department of Education, Ministry of Defence or Healthcare experience is being sought after by a specialist consultancy led building contractor due to a recent win on a major government education framework.
You will need to have a relevant construction related degree, e.g., Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Building Engineering. You will be keen to progress academically and be helped to achieve MRICS or MCIOB status
At Aylin White we work with one of the UK’s leading design and modular build consultancy led contractors and are working in partnership with the company to help them grow and develop with the hire of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
At present they are looking to expand and develop their Commercial Division due to various project wins within Department of Education, Ministry of Defence and Healthcare sector with the hire of an ambitious Quantity Surveyor who is looking to take a step up to become a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
They are looking for an ambitious individual who has been working within a consultancy or main contractor and have a hands-on approach to lead projects end to end.
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be helping with every aspect of your projects and have a hands-on approach. Have proven experience in managing similar projects for a consultancy or main contractor as well as leading to the achievement of all the agreed goals within the set scope, time, quality, and budget standards.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be involved with:
* Lead the project and have complete accountability of projects through the project life cycle
* Have proven experience working within a major consultancy or contractor and delivering Education, Defence or Healthcare projects
* Must have a hands-on approach and experience in managing manging packages over £10m+
* Managing contracts from Pre-contract to Handover
* Report back to the Commercial Lead
* Managing Sub-contractor payments
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
* The Quantity Surveyor must have previous experience looking after contracts from pre-contract right through to Handover
* Must have construction related degree
* Past experience as Quantity Surveyor on Department of Education, Ministry of Defence or Healthcare
* Experience of modular building desirable but not essential
