Salary: £38,938 per year

Development Upholsterer, North Lincolnshire, £32,448pa, 24 days holiday + BH, 6.40am – 15.25 M-T, 6.45 – 13.40 F. (The company own a flat in the area for anyone who is not commutable and wants to stay close to site)

Arlington moore Recruitment is working on behalf of a successful company who are

looking to appoint a Development Upholsterer as well as a trainee Upholsterer.

Reporting to the Design Manager the Development Upholsterer will be responsible for;

• Taking initial idea from designer/design director and interpreting the design to produce the first prototype
• Taking overall responsibility of model, hitting set deadlines 
• Developing a model ready for production with emphasis placed on the cost side of the model, including constructing patterns to achieve economical fabric and lining lays
• Making card patterns for fibre board and grey board suppliers 
• Completing a material specification to be used for costing purposes
• Supplying lay planning operator with cutting lists and patterns for cover and linings 
• Involvement with foam/fibre suppliers (supplying patterns and specifications) 
• Partly responsible for the introduction to production on the 1st week of the new model introduction ensuring correct specification
• Periodically check that models that they have developed and introduced are still achieving required standard 
• Setting up furniture exhibitions which may require overnight stays.
