Salary: £36,000 per year
Our client is a Life Science Consultancy business and they are looking for a Product Marketing Associate to join their team. The sole focus will be managing supplier product information and all associated marketing activity for their client, including product information management, pricing and discount updates, and marketing throughout the year.
Prior account management, digital marketing and database experience are vital to this brand new, business-critical role. The successful incumbent will be extremely organized and comfortable with multidisciplinary projects. A strong listener and collaborator balanced with strong accountability and execution orientation will help assure success in this role.
This role would be perfect for someone with previous product marketing experience who can apply that understanding to products, industry trends, potential competitors, and their strategies. They will be able to market product information from a scientific perspective, with the right messaging and language, understanding the data required and marketing material needed and how to correctly pitch the products to end user customers.
Responsibilities
- Developing effective marketing strategies to communicate the features and benefits of supplier products to customers
- Undertaking market research on new products to understand how to effectively market the Unique Selling Points (USPs)
- Close liaison with the rest of our client’s commercial team to ensure up-to-date and successful marketing of products
Key duties:

- Standardizing product catalogue from all suppliers
- Maintaining key relationships with suppliers to ensure product information is up-to-date and their marketing focus are shared and incorporated into our client’s marketing plan
- Managing the product database and notifying the outsourced website provider to make changes as necessary
- Upkeep of the company marketing plan and updating colleagues accordingly for product promotions
Education, Experience and Skills
- BSc or, ideally, MSc in Biological Sciences or equivalent
- 2 years’ life science industry experience for a manufacturer or supplier of Life Sciences products, ideally research reagents
- Excellent Excel/database skills and experience
- Ability to balance technical science language with marketing focus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Approachable, positive can-do attitude
- Excellent project management, organization, time-management, planning, and budgeting skills
- Interpersonal effectiveness and rapport building, a team player able to work effectively with others
- Fluent in English
