Maintenance Supervisor

Salary: £19.2 – £21 per hour

My client are a leader in their field, with an enviable customer base and a proven track record of delivering innovative and high quality processing machinery into a global market.

As part of their continued plan to improve the availability and reliability of the wide range of production machinery onsite, they are looking for an experienced multi-skilled engineer to join their team on temp – perm basis. This is ideal for a candidate who is immediately available, or who may be currently furloughed and unsure of their future.

Your role will be an interesting and varied ‘hands on’ role, working with all kinds of machinery, systems and even some facilities and infrastructure work as well. Working to monthly maintenance schedules, fixing breakdowns and taking on small projects are all part of the role, so you will need to be able to work both independently and as part of the wider business. Occasionally you will be expected to work with external contractors on site when required. As the leader of a small team, you will be required to work alongside others and ensure their work is supervised to a high standard, and train those individuals on machines and processes when needed.

Experience in repairing and maintaining the following is required:
– Mills, Lathes, Drills and CNC Machinery
– Sheet Metal and Fabrication Machinery
– Facilities – Electrics, Plumbing, General Building Maintenance (occasionally required)
– Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

Ideally you’ll be a time served apprentice, or in possession of a C&G or HND in a related discipline. A background in the machinery build or precision engineering sector would be preferred, but experience of a general engineering facility would be of interest.

Working at 39hour week, with some available overtime and an early finish on Friday, this role is ideal for an engineer looking to move onto a day shift position, but is happy to be flexible when required.
