Senior Electrical Engineer
Location: Dungannon, Northern Ireland
Salary: £36,000 – £48,000DOE + Excellent benefits
Our client is the market leader of waste compaction equipment in the UK and throughout Europe, they pride themselves on their innovative engineering, dedicated customer service and aftersales support. Due to their continued growth, they have fantastic opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their award-winning team.
Their team designs and produces a range of recycling equipment worldwide. Whilst based in Dungannon, Northern Ireland, projects are wide-ranging geographically and the successful candidate will be expected to operate with a large degree of autonomy.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design of electrical control systems to meet customer requirements. The engineer will be required to work with the solutions team to design the flow of operations for a user and ensure it can be realised.
- Preparation of detailed electrical design and general arrangement drawings for the manufacture of motor control panels with all relevant specifications, standards, and safety regulations
- May be required to make some modifications to existing software of machines
- To produce accurate BOM’s for electrical purchase components in a timely manner according to the project requirements.
- Responsible for the creation of machine control guides and wiring tables for their service/installs team.
- Project Preparation of documentation for the testing, inspection, and commissioning of the electrical systems. For more complicated machines they will be responsible for completing this testing.
- Provide support to project teams for the design of parts that require electrical integration.
- Assist service team in the debugging and solving of problems beyond their capabilities and in new designs. This will involve both remote assistance and on-site assistance and will require the ability to debug software and hardware.
- Developing new innovations to improve products/reduce costs
- Managing relations with 3rd parties involved in the design/build of the control systems. This includes ensuring clear requirements are communicated in a timely manner and ensuring the received product is as required.
- Assist and provide guidance with the development of in-house electrical capabilities. This can include developing their team through training and hiring and developing their facilities.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline or possess significant relevant experience
- in BOM creation
- Understanding of Electrical office requirements
- Experience with Windows based Software Products and AutoCAD
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- You will be self-motivated, can prioritise as well as plan workloads and work under pressure
- Excellent time management and communications skills
- Excellent people and interpersonal skills
- Attentive to detail
- Committed team player who is performance driven to meet targets and objectives
