Electrical Design Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

My client is an engineering consulting services company, providing turnkey design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of a wide range of solutions to the mining, refinery and chemical processing industries. Due to increased workload they now have a vacancy for an Electrical design engineer to join their small but specialist team.

The role will encompass the full spectrum of Electrical and project design engineering:

* Electrical Drawings for machinery

* Electrical installations for machinery

* Panel Design and Wiring

* PLC and HMI Programming

* Machinery testing and commissioning

* Working with the Mechanical Design team and Process Engineer to establish machinery electrical and instrumentation design, drawings and manuals.

* Working with mechanical team to perform machine electrical installations

* Working with customer during machinery installations and commissioning

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* 5 years’ experience as an electrical design engineer

* Degree/HND Qualified in an electrical engineering discipline.

* Experienced in the use of Electrical CAD Software

* Previous working experience within a PLC controlled environment

* Ability to deal directly with suppliers and clients.

Experience of:

* Hydraulics

* Heavy industrial plant

* Moving/automated plant

Any exposure to thermal applications would be a bonus.
