Trainee Accountant – Acca / Cima

Badenoch & Clark are working on a sole agency basis with a marketing leading organisation located in Brighton. Due to significant growth in 2012-2013 my client is looking to take on an ambitious finance graduate with a desire to study ACCA or CIMA. This role with encompass a mixture of both transactional accounting (purchase ledger) and assisting with management accounts.

Due to the nature of the role ideally you will match the following criteria:

-Degree educated (finance, mathematics, economics, accountancy or business studies).
-Studying towards ACCA or CIMA (or desire to).
-Minimum of 6 months practical accounting exposure (purchase ledger would be preferred).
-Working knowledge of excel.

You role will involve 50% purchase ledger and 50% management accounts/audit work:

-Matching, batching & coding invoices.
-Supplier queries.
-Supplier statement reconciliations.
-Assisting with management accounts (variance analysis, accruals, and prepayments).
-KPI reporting.
-Reconciling control accounts and inter-company reconciliations.
-VAT returns.
-Assisting with audits.
