Newly Qualified Accountant

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Anderson Knight is recruiting a Newly Qualified Accountant for an SME business based in Glasgow. With an annual turnover of around £10million, our client is very well known within their sector for providing customers with an excellent service.

Due to the size of the organisation, there is opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of finance. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be delegated a number of month end reporting duties as well as interacting with the wider business to gain a better understanding of the numbers. Our client is open to candidates around the newly/recently qualified level.

The main responsibilities the Newly Qualified Accountant position entails are:

* Preparation of monthly management accounts

* Working closely with the Finance Manager to meet month end deadlines

* Business partnering with the wider organisation including the sales team

* Ownership of the Fixed Asset Register

* Preparation of VAT

To be considered for the Newly Qualified Accountant position you must possess the following:

* An accountancy qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA) or finalist

* Strong communication skills

* A proactive approach to work

* The ability to solve complex problems

* An outgoing personality

* A driven/motivated individual
