Chichester College is seeking a Lecturer in Mathematics and Physics to join the Maths and Science team on a full time basis. They offer a Salary: £26,000 – £43,114per year.
As Lecturer in Mathematics and Physics you will undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs. You work collaboratively and innovatively with managers and colleagues to design, develop, manage and review programmes in the curriculum area. It is your responsibility to ensure that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.
Responsibilities of a Lecturer in Mathematics and Physicsinclude:
-To undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
-To undertake the delivery of GCSE & AS/A2 Maths and AS/A2 Physics.
-To ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
-To undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
-To develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration equality and diversity and differentiation
-To participate in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment.
To become a Lecturer in Mathematics and Physics you must have the following skills and experience:
-Level 4 qualification in Mathematics or Physics related subject
-Degree (or equivalent) in Mathematics/Physics
– Level 2 literacy and numeracy
– A Certificate in Education or Post Graduate Certificate in Education
-Relevant subject experience
-Teaching and assessing learners
-Curriculum delivery and associated administration
-Managing diverse groups of students
-Working within Further Education
