Salary: £31,056 – £49,992 per year

A dynamic and successful school in the heart of Hayes are looking for a maths enthusiast and a highly successful education professional to join their team in September.

About the school

This is a school where students make amazing progress and are encouraged to be reflective and passionate learners. There are currently eleven maths teachers in the mathematics department who are a friendly and supportive team. The school values their staff and offer high levels of professional development.

The school is equipped with SMART interactive whiteboards, computers and projectors and the maths department is well resourced with a mixture of electronic resources and maths textbooks/ worksheets to cover all three key stages.

The school is also very interested in promoting the interest in maths and they dedicate a lot of time organising activities designed for the extension and enrichment of mathematics. These include ‘Mathemagicians’; Junior, Immediate and Senior Mathematics Challenge and ‘Maths games club for KS3/4’.

The school was rated ‘Good’ in their last Ofsted inspection and currently aiming for ‘Outstanding’.

About the candidate

Qualifications and experience:

* First degree – in any relevant discipline
* Qualified teacher status.
* A continued commitment to own professional development.
* Teaching experience (including training practice) within the designated age range.
* Having a secure knowledge of Mathematics and curriculum areas, nurturing and maintaining pupils’ interest in the subject, and addressing misunderstandings.
