Support Worker / Supported Housing / Care Leavers
Bradford, West Yorkshire
40 hours per week
£25,028.4.14 per annum

Our client provides a range of housing and day support services in a manner that promotes self-esteem, respect and independence to people disadvantaged by housing circumstances or social need.

One of their services offers residential support and supported housing to young people leaving care aged 16-18 years in need of support in order to prevent homelessness and maintain their accommodation.

Our client is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual to join this service as a Support Worker. The role will be based at one of their hostels in Bradford which houses 9 care leavers and will require some lone working.

The main purpose of the role is to provide support to young people who have a number of complex needs with the aim of assisting them to become more independent and tenancy ready. Using support plans, staff will help them to work through barriers in order to move closer to reaching their goals and independence.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with young people with challenging behaviours as well as working within a similar environment. It is essential that you have knowledge of the needs young people leaving care face and how these needs can be met. You will also have experience of carrying out risk assessments and developing support plans with clients.

The closing date for this role is Wednesday 30th March at 5pm.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 7th April.
