Youth Support Workers (Neet)

We are currently recruiting Career Support Workers to help young people across London to make lasting positive changes in their lives.

If you have the ability to engage with young people who are not in education training or employment (NEET) and can inspire and challenge them to reach their potential whilst working in a target driven environment, then we would love to hear from you.

•You will provide bespoke support to young people aged 18-24 with mental health difficulties, drug or alcohol abuse issues, or suffering from homelessness, who are also not in education, training or employment, to help them progress into an outcome.

•You will have targets on progression into employment, education, apprenticeship or traineeship, or a combination of these, with six month sustainment.

•You will work closely with a range of stakeholders including Skills Funding Agency, Jobcentre Plus, GLA, London Councils, Local Authorities as well as schools and colleges to deliver this service

Skills and Experience

and knowledge of European Social Funding and Skills Funding Agency contract and Social Care Qualification is desirable.

Experience of working with young people who are disengaged from education, employment and training.
Demonstrate a genuine commitment to the personal and occupational success of this group by building self-confidence and motivation.
Positive enthusiastic approach to problem solving with a “can do” attitude.
Compassionate, empathetic and ability to put people at ease.
Target/results driven.
Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes.
Exceptional communication skills.
Good Knowledge of local labour market.
Minimum of 4 GCSE or equivalent including English and Maths.
Competent IT User.
