Building Services Engineer

Salary: £16.8 – £18 per hour

Spring Engineering has an exciting opening with our client based in Suffolk for an experienced Building Services Engineer.

We are looking for a (MEP) Mechanical & Electrical Process systems expert to support the design and build of a world class cleanroom

The role has long term prospects for an Engineer, who has relevant experience and knowledge pertaining to Laboratory/semiconductor sites. Initial fixed term contract with the potential to become permanent.

You will be part of a team developing the detail design for the new facility and supporting external contractors from a technical perspective, linking to existing and future planned Company processes.

As part of the design team you will have a high level of experience in mechanical and electrical systems relating to complex process equipment, ideally in a semiconductor manufacturing cleanroom context

Main Responsibilities

Work with external design teams to develop high quality and cost effective process system designs.
Review and approve systems designs submitted by contract teams.
Provide industry best practice insight in to developing a world class cleanroom facility
Work through RIBA 4 and 5 design phases and support the transfer of the new site in to Company operations.
Represent technical teams during the construction of the new site.
Facilitate building commissioning, validation and process tool hookup contracts to ensure rapid transition of the new site in to operation.

Skills/Qualifications

Essential
Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
Experience in complex MEP systems design
Demonstrable experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom site
Strong understanding of chemical delivery systems, ultra-pure water, gas, and waste treatment systems
Demonstrable design experience for complex HVAC systems
Systematic, analytical and detailed approach to problem solving

Knowledge of building management systems and integration in to a complex manufacturing operation and CAFM systems
