Mandarin Speaking Production Merchandiser

The Company:
An exciting opportunity for a Mandarin speaking Production Merchandiser to join the design and production team of a young ladies fashion brand. This role requires someone with a minimum of 1 years experience within production, wholesale and merchandising working with ladieswear or accessories who is forward thinking and able to use own initiative to problem solve with strong attention to detail.

The Role:
Following the production process from sampling through to final delivery.
Acting as point of contact for all issues relating to the key accounts from customer service to answering factory queries.
Raising and processing purchase orders and contracts in line with ordering procedure to factory.
Input of collection information and product list details to the system.
Managing relationships with the factory to ensure orders are tracked, manufactured and delivered on time.
Helping ensure merchandising processes are correct i.e. labelling, ticketing, packing, packaging instructions.
Maintaining up to date factory schedules and producing production reports as required.
Co-ordinating development requests with factory R&D department and following through requests until garments are received.
Carrying out quality control and technical checks with help of Garment Technologist.
Providing feedback with Garment Technologist to factory on faulty goods and level of rejected/returns.
Monitor product defects with Garment Technologist to ensure continuous improvement and advise factory.
Communicating with sales, accounts and logistics departments regarding deliveries and pricing matters including shippers and forwarders information (sea/air) and any queries.
Providing feedback to factory on quality of goods and packing presentation from warehouse arrival time.
Travel overseas as and when required.
Any other duties as directed and requested by Production Manager.

Skills Required:
MUST be able to speak fluent Mandarin.
Minimum 1 years experience within ladies fast fashion or accessories.
Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with supplier bases.
Comply with company procedures regarding the confidentially and security of information.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Understanding of critical path and product development processes.
Effective communication skills both written and oral.
Advanced computer skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Accurate, methodical and organised with strong attention to detail.
Positive team player, demonstrating mutual respect and integrity for others whilst maintaining open and effective communication at all levels within the business.
