Head of Mobile App Design

Salary: £84,000 – £96,000 per year

Joining an industry leading organisation at a hugely exciting time, an experienced Head of Mobile App Design is required to work with our client’s proprietary app, helping to manage the strategy and direction of UI/UX for a digital media company that owns and operates a chain of sports-based YouTube channels for cycling enthusiasts.

As Head of Mobile App Design, you will help to coordinate App Design and deliver against strategic and user aims. You will be a key link between the Digital Design team and the senior stakeholders in the business. This senior role will manage a team of 4 reports, including a UX Designer and Digital Designers.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Development Director whilst also working closely with senior members of the team, including the CTO and CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Lead web and mobile app and web design and design strategy (UI, UX and GUI)
Generate conceptual design ideas for mobile app and related subscription products
Leading the internal digital design team
Implementing UX/UI and product design best practices within the digital design team
Contributing to presentations and proposals for the design of the GCN App

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge of design strategies for mobile apps and websites is essential (UX/UI exposure)
5+ years experience working as an In-House Designer
Experience working closely with senior stakeholders
Ideally, you’ll have experience working on free-to-paid products
Experience working in the sports industry (ideally cycling) would be beneficial, but not essential.
