Full time 37.5hrs per week / Permanent contract
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm (some occasional evening or weekend work required)
Location: REST King’s Lynn, 56 High St, King’s Lynn, PE30 1AY
*Due to the nature of the role a driver licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role, mileage is paid at 45p per mile for cars after your home to work base mileage is deducted.
Salary: £21,463.06 rising to £21,942.52 per annum following successful completion of 6 month probationary period.
Annual leave entitlement of 26 days rising to 29 days per year (depending on length of service)
We are looking for an experienced Rest in the Community Recovery work to cover West Norfolk area. Individuals who are passionate about providing support and mental health services that is needed in communities across the North.
As a RiC Recovery Worker, you will work closely with various statutory, non-statutory organisations and the Rest In Community Coordinator to identify needs and set up applicable groups or sessions to meet those needs. The role will focus on continuously building new networks, promoting the current Spokes and ensuring they are utilised by members of the community.
You will work with the RiC Coordinator to carry out regular review of spokes in West Norfolk to ensure good practice. You will host drop-in sessions where you would get to provide 1-2-1 structured, unstructured and crisis support, signpost individuals to relevant activities and refer to the closest REST Hub for long term support. Full training will be provided to equip you with the required knowledge and skill to perform the role in safely and deliver a high-quality service.
In addition, the successful candidate will work with other colleagues & services within the organisation to host appropriate support sessions in different areas dependent on need. Services include: Complex Bereavement, Routes, Enhanced Recovery Workers in the Primary Care Network, Volunteering amongst others.
The successful candidate will be a good listener, empathetic and have some level of mental health knowledge and experience. They will be skilled in the use of basic IT systems and knowledgeable in running or hosting community groups, activities or events. They will enjoy and thrive in networking environments, flexible and good at spotting opportunities.
