MECHANICAL SECURITY ENGINEER POSITION

Who we are looking for

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical engineer to join an experienced and expanding team of Installation and Service Engineers, working with some of the country’s most prestigious clients.
We are looking for Mechanical & Electro-Mechanical Engineers that live within London and the Home Counties OR – within a 35 mile radius of Sheerwater, and have experience of working with gates, barriers or doors.

Applicants must:

* Have a British passport

* Hold a full clean driving licence

* Have no previous spent or unspent convictions

* Not be colour blind

* Be eligible for security clearance

Preferable / Advantageous Experience

* Experience working with Hydraulic and electrical equipment, manufacturers such as Heald, Frontier Pitts, Cova, Eagle Automation, APT, BFT, FAAC and other automation equipment

* Experience working with security barriers, gates, bollards blockers or turnstiles

* Experience with wiring, PCB’s, motors, pumps, valves, hydraulic hoses, chains and belts

* City and Guilds or NVQ level relevant qualification

* Testing and commissioning qualification

* Possesses a CSCS or similar

* Gate Safe or DHF Gate Safety accreditation

* Come from an Electro – Mechanical background

* 17th/18th Edition IEE

About the role
The company install, service, repair and maintain Electro-Mechanical security equipment for its selected prestigious clients including MOD, Rolls Royce, BAE Systems and Government sites. Products include Automatic Gates, Automatic Doors, Security Fencing, Road Blockers, Rising Kerbs, Rising Bollards, Barriers etc. They are looking to expand their team with Mechanical Engineers and Electro-Mechanical Engineers. This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces I.e. Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force/RAF. The company cover projects all over the UK and abroad. Candidates will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, service and repair of our clients’ equipment.

There is great earning potential for these positions with a competitive basic salary, ample overtime paid at a premium, call-out bonus and a company vehicle, fuel card and mobile phone.

* Salary is negotiable depending on experience. Experienced engineers earning in excess of £33,600 – £60,000.

* Hourly Overtime Payable at time and a half, double time and triple time, staying away from home is additional hourly increment with hotel and meals allowance paid whilst away.

* Hours – Monday to Friday – 8am – 5pm.

* 23 days annual leave rising with service, plus bank holidays.
