Mechanical Project Engineer

Salary: £384 – £444 per day

Skilled Careers are working with a leading M&E Contractor with a turnover of £180m and a strong national presence who require a mechanical project engineer to join their southern business unit to initially work on a notable research facility in Oxford, The successful candidate will get involved in a pre-con programme which runs until early the end of this year before going to site to deliver for the duration of the 2 year programme. You will report to a mechanical lead and have an involved in technical and management duties, so you will be acting as mechanical lead on the project. 

Mechanical Project Engineer Role:

– Attend project meetings and produce reports. – Build relationships with clients/contractors as part of the team. – Attend meetings with designers, specialist contractors and internal teams – Review of designs to ensure compliance to specification – Review, assess and select mechanical sub-contractors – Knowledge of market rates and have commercial input to the procurement team. – On site review and management of building services installation to ensure contract compliance. – Ensure health and safety policy is adhered during project duration.

The company have a strong order book for the coming year across the Oxford, Thames Valley and m3/M4 corridor and excellent well established client relationships.
