I am currently looking to speak with Senior M&E Quantity Surveyors who are open to new opportunities working for one of the UK’s top mechanical and electrical contractors based in Canary Wharf on a permanent basis. With a turnover, in excess of £300 million, the company has a national presence working within the commercial sector covering office blocks, hospitals and schools.

The opportunity has occurred due to new work being won and the project is currently in the early construction stage. The project is a medical facility new build. The client would like to add an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial delivery of this project.

The projects which the client is currently working on range from £4M to £20M.

Job Role:

* Assisting with cost Value reconciliations

* Assisting with cash Flow forecasting

* Assisting with management of subcontractor accounts

* Assisting with negotiation of variations, calculations and settlement of final accounts

* Procurement of specialist Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors

* Assisting with managing monthly project cost reports in time for monthly Directors meetings

* Assisting with preparation of monthly Project Valuations and preparation of Project Final Account

Personal Specification:

* Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Quantity Surveying.

* 5 plus years’ experience working as a M&E QS

* Strong communication skills and being able to communicate and negotiate with clients on a professional level

* Pro active

* Commercial experience needed

* NEC option C experience
