Salary: £54,000Basic + Bonus (6%) + Bens (6% pension, private health, 25 days holiday etc)

Java Developer Support – Software House

Java Developer Support (3rd level+) required by leading global enterprise level software company. We are looking for Java / J2EE software support engineers to join this busy team to provide high level development & support (High level coding support & bespoke Customer Java Development)

As a Java application Developer you will be providing developer support to the base of clients – trouble shooting, debugging, picking code, existing code base change to functionality & making small code base changes.

This is not really a support role, rather a high level bespoke customer Java Development role; dealing with & coding to solve complex customer & code issues.

You will also be performing bespoke customer code change requests & personal application development projects to enhance the existing functionality.

Core market is financial Services (Insurance, banking etc) – large exposure to this area of the market.

We are looking for:

– Solid Java / JEE development & coding skills.
– Ideally some experience in common applications servers – WebSphere, Weblogic, JBOSS.
– Good level of XML.
– Strong SQL
– Any coding around the front end of Java Applications – JavaScript, HTML, CSS etc.
– Strong Troubleshooting skills, close attention to detail & an inquisitive nature.
– Must have a good level of English language skill – verbal & written
– Keen to progress within a fast paced & very successful Software company.
