Socialmedia and Communications Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a Social Media and Communications Executive to join the Business Development and Marketing Department of a prestigious legal practise in the centre of Cardiff.

You will be responsible for the distribution of content through a broad range of the firm’s social media and online marketing channels. The job holder will work closely with other members of the business development and marketing team to ensure the firm maintains, and continually improves, its creation and distribution of engaging, relevant and timely content.

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of different social media applications as well as experience of editing web content and the distribution of e-marketing communications. Preferably they would also have a solid understanding of analytical tools which measure the effectiveness of content.

The role will involve:
• Managing the firm’s social media feeds and implementing a content strategy for the distribution of blog content, thought leadership material and firm news
• Proactively updating the firm’s website to ensure the accuracy of online content and the posting of relevant material
• Engaging with the firm’s key clients and contacts via social media
• Monitoring online press coverage
• Distributing a range of targeting newsletters, updates and bulletins to different client and sector groups
• Ensuring appropriate aspects of the website are optimised for SEO purposes
• Coordinating, editing and distributing the firm’s quarterly internal newsletter
• Providing regular reports on social media and online marketing activity including web analytics

The successful candidate should be of graduate calibre, have experience of working in a professional services/blue chip environment and be able to demonstrable experience of delivering effective and targeted social media and online marketing campaigns. They will have experience of managing and developing complex websites and have advanced IT skills, preferably web development, SEO, InDesign, CRM, E-marketing and online survey tools. A strong understanding of social media applications including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube is required as is an understanding of analytical tools used for measuring the effectiveness of social media and online marketing campaigns.
