Battery Management Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Battery Management Systems Engineer to work on a permanent basis in Warwickshire.

Core Requirements:-

Degree qualified or similar qualification.
Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
A minimum of 5 years experience automotive experience is ESSENTIAL.
Capable of leading a project element with support from more senior staff when necessary.
Effective team member contributing to improvements and high customer service.
Demonstrate an in depth knowledge in a relevant technical speciality.
Already chartered or working towards chartered status.
Experience of one or more of the following:
– System and safety engineering.
– Product development process.
– Model based algorithm design and development.
– Matlab/Sumulink/C/physical modelling tools.
– Rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop system.
– CAN based system and tools.
– Battery electrochemistry knowledge.

Battery management system design and development for electric and range extended electrical vehicles including one or more of the following:
– System and safety engineering (e.g. requirement and specification writing, FMEA, PHA, ISO2622).
– Algorithm development (e.g. sensor signal processing, estimation, control).
– Non-linear dynamic physical system modelling (e.g. electrochemical, thermal, electrical).
– Model parametrisation and validation (e.g. developing test specifications, system identification and data analysis).
– Electrical/electronic component interfacing.
– Embedded software design (e.g. scheduling, communications interfacing, algorithm integration).
– Installation and commissioning of systems.
– Develop and execute test plans.
– Construct and execute project proposals.
– Adhere to product development process and support broader tasks.
– Write and present technical information/papers ti senior management.
